At Gateway Flag Football, we believe every child deserves the chance to play — regardless of financial circumstances.

Every Kid Sports cover recreational youth sports registration fees up to $150 for kids from qualifying financial backgrounds.
Grants are available to qualifying families with kids in grade K-12 and not-for-profit community-based recreational sports organizations in low income areas on a need and first-come, first served basis as funds are available. Individual grants can be used for registration, equipment and other associated fees for sports classes, recreational leagues, and travel sports.

Youth Sports Grants - All Kids Play

NFL Flag has a new program for financial assistance to needy families called NFL Flag fund. Any NFL Flag participant that meets the following criteria can apply:

  • Annual household income less than the current national average ($74,580)
  • Participant receives free or reduced lunch
  • Is not already registered in the league

Each awarded participant will receive a flat fee of $100 towards their registration fees. Any additional costs are the responsibility of the participant. The application link for the NFL Flag fund is:

then you will want to select individual application button. It takes a couple of weeks to process an application so apply early to receive the funding in time to register. Note that on January 1, 2026 it is not showing this scholarship but it may be activated again in the future.
